Recruiting Process

Ok, so now you've got a fair idea of what it's all about, below is a step by step guide on how to get started with your job application.

Please note that the process below only applies to those that are arranging a job with Go Workabout before you leave home. If you don't want to arrange a job with Go Workabout before you leave home, we can still help you with you visa, bank account, tax number... These sorts of things. Click on 'Services' to find out more.

1. Determine if you are eligible for the Australian Working Holiday Visa or any other appropriate visa.

Read the 'Visas' section of our website to ensure that you are eligible for an appropriate visa.

2. Find a job that suits you by browsing our 'Jobs' section.

Please remember that the jobs available change all the time and you should check them regularly.

3. Download the information pack for the job that suits you and your timeframes.

Please note that to see detailed information about specific jobs you will need to sign up and create a profile with us.

4. Download and fill in an application!

Download the relevant application form, complete it and send it in with your resume and a few pictures that summarise your personality

5. Wait for a response.

We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Usually we will give you a call and have a chat over the phone, but sometimes time zones make this difficult and we will have to email instead!

At this point we will explain everything to you that you could ever need to know and we will answer any questions you may have. Rest assured that we have thought of everything and will have fantastic answers to all of your questions.

6. Deposit and payment.

If we consider you to be an appropriate applicant for the job we will ask for a small deposit from you before we complete the screening process.

When the deposit has been paid we will complete the screening process and notify you shortly after if your application has been approved.

If your application is approved and you accept the job, we will bill you the remainder of the Complete Working Holiday Maker Starter Pack Fee. See the Complete Working Holiday Maker Starter Pack section for more information on what the pack does, how much it costs and what you get.

9. Go and have the Working Holiday of a life time!
